One day I imagine we'll change that tradition and maybe have a more traditional dinner but I'm not pushing it until I'm 96.

This table is cozy and inviting. I love that it is casual but very well put together. Utilizing what makes the season so beautiful, nature, is also a major plus.

Dare I say this is a bit more formal? I'll blame the white pumpkins! How do I love this table? Let me count the ways. It is bright. The centerpieces, though they are pumpkins seem a bit dainty to me which I love, Notice how the napkin corresponds to the table cloth by being just a switch of colors? That is a great detail. I'm ready to dine at this table!

For the more classical and formal table - go a bit Victorian. You may be surprised to hear that I find this table inspiring. First off, this is a total throwback to the America so many years ago. Here's why I love this table: I see hints of my grandmother's collection of dishware and ceramics. I love the crystal. Notice the flatware - are you in love yet? Oh and that turkey in the center of the table? That brings back memories of pieces my Mom-o has. It should be known I'm a sucker for those plates as well. How do you feel about the tapestry table cloth? (Here it comes....the Downton Reference) - do you think Old Lady Grantham would approve?)

Sometimes simple is best. Move over burlap, this is a job for butcher paper. I love this simplicity and feel like it really captures the point of Thanksgiving Maybe we don't need shine and glitz but just to enjoy one anothers company. And yes, a really great meal.
How is your table coming together?
