I think....

My marriage has been totally strained lately.  The husband started the new job a month ago and that's all fine and dandy but he has been doing side work that takes him totally away from the kids and myself.  I'm not cool with that.  If he doesn't have the balls to tell people no then I can do it easier than taking candy from a baby.  #watchout

The next book I am reading.

Home school and private school have been running racing through my mind lately.  I'm not impressed with public schools at this point and it makes me sick to see how kids are being dumbed down and teachers aren't allowed to really teach.  If I win the lottery my kid will never ever go back to public school.  #thatsjustsad

Yay for me getting a summer schedule together for the kiddos and myself.  I'm very pleased.  My hubby even got our vacation booked.  #party

Today I start a new Women's Bible Study at the awesome church I attend.  I always get anxious before I go!!!  I know it will be warm and welcoming but its that first day jitter....Who will be there?  Will they like me?  #middleschoolinyourthirties

So I donned a pair of roller skates on Monday.  The PTO has a fundraiser type event monthly at the local skate rink.  Look ya'll....this girl didn't grow up on wheels (unless you count a bike) and I'm just not coordinated and extremely afraid to let myself "glide and push" as Jennifer said.  BUT my kid asked me to and I did it!  So I'm proud!  Oh and I got a work out being all tensed up on wheels!  Tuesday I was sore!  #icanlaughatmyself

I am ready to dodge this one horse town for a while.  May is tomorrow and I've got the itch to embrace late spring and get into the great outdoors.  #camp

That new caramel crunch frap at Starbucks is awesome.  No, I haven't purchased one but I did try Jennifer's and holy calories it was sooooo wonderful.  However, I just ordered my regular Iced Skinny Caramel Macchiato.  #tryingtokeepitincheck

Officially have decided to grow my hair out.  Yep, after cutting it the shortest ever I decide to grow it out.  My hairdresser said she would support me in this endeavor.  Love ya Lizz!  #hairtherapy

I really hoped to plant a garden this year but the window is quickly leaving me.  I guess I can do a late summer garden and spend all my free time watering it.  #southernheat #matertime

I cannot wait to do some camping posts in the near future.  I'm going to dumb down camping so much that a puggle could do it.  Just watch.  #lovetocamp

I Think Stuff & Things

So I was thinking....

*Last night a friend posted on FB she was suffering from Baby Fever.  After the afternoon I had with my first baby (now 7) and not being able to sleep a full night thanks to second baby (now 2) I decided she is insane.  She needs my two for a weekend.  Yes, Heather, I'm talking to you.

*I took a mental health day.  It involved Starbucks and the book I just finished and a two hour Target trip.  Go on with your baby fever.  When you enjoy Target for two hours because you realize you're alone and can actually LOOK at stuff and TRY STUFF ON it is an amazing day.

*My friend Keileigh is about to pop with her third child.  God bless her.  But she's so freakin' cute pregnant.  I'm going shopping for her this weekend.  What aisle can I find sanity pops and margaritas for the mommy?

*Seriously, kids are wonderful....before they develop habits that prevent you from sleeping and enjoying life.  And after they have graduated college.  That's a big window of, in between, making antidepressant commercials or AA posters.

*I did not partake in the Lilly at Target madness.  I was excited but on Sunday I as blah.

*Currently, booking our first camping trip of the year.  I'm a small bit excited.

*Yesterday I spent an hour as a pest exterminator.  It is amazing what a role of tin foil and masking tape can do.  If you read my Monday post then you know what I am referring to.

*Yes, the blog looks different.  Yes, I failed to do a Tasty Tuesday Post.  Yes, I'm in some type of limbo with what I'm going to do with the blog.  I want to learn more about making my blog something new.  I've been doing this for like 2.5 years solely because I love to write and share.  Maybe one day I'll figure out exactly how to take it to the next level.

*My grandma is dying.  It sucks.  OK so yes she's been dying for a while since you know she's an 88 year old and well they aren't really in the whole gonna get another 25 years.  Her struggle with Alzheimer's has been overwhelming and a passion of mine is education and getting science the money needed to make progress in getting rid of this evil disease.  You see this in my Mini Posts on Alzheimer's (post 1, post 2, post 3).  I'm building a team for The Walk To End Alzheimer's on October 31st, 2015.  I'll have more info up soon but if you're in NC I have a spot for you.  If you're out of NC you can sponsor us.  The truth is every person reading this blog has been, is being, or will be affected by Alzheimer's and that's just not acceptable.

My heart sank a bit when the 2 1/2 year old decided to put the Kindle in the bathtub....at bath time.

Totally glad you bloggy people like St. Patrick's Day....its not anything awesome to me.  And yes I'm told I have Irish blood in me veins.



The fact we grilled a lot this week makes me uber happy.

I'll never get my housework done....oh well.

Seeing my old Georgie this past weekend in a text melted my heart.  I miss him.

I'm still awaiting good news to share with you guys.  I'm very superstitious (hit it Stevie!)



My oatmeal tastes like a vat of salt.  Gross.  Oh it was the almond milk I added to it....yuck.

Is it time to go camping yet????



My allergies are killing me and my medicine isn't touching it...meh.

I think....

....Whatever the hell this weather pattern is I do not like it.  What happened to 70 degree February days.  Don't look at me that way we have had them all my life, popping up here and there.  I am so angry about this.

....I am so sick of snow.  No, I know I am.

....I dared to go to Walmart right before the other snowpacolypse began.  There wasn't a big deal going on or anything.  What has happened has the South became numb to this horrid weather pattern?

....McDonald's is the most mind numbing, make me hate society place in my hometown.  I spent a lunch break there (only drinking coffee) and felt violated just sitting in there.  A couple - massively obese - were just there to use the free wi-fi.  Laborers were there that needed a good grooming appointment (anyone can get a haircut guys....its called Great Clips).  And one lovely gentleman on his cell phone basically screamed "take the g.d. drug test" ----- and to top everything off they screwed up my husband's Big Mac.  

....Hold on, wait a minute, isn't the Big Mac the freakin' whole purpose of McDonald's?  And you screwed it up?  What?  

....McDonald's was an OK place back in the 80s and 90s when teenagers worked at it.  Now you have adults, obviously strung out on an overdose of stupid (or at least meth) who cannot comprehend the idea of fast food OR how to put a freakin' mystery meat sandwich together.

....I'm over the rant.  I hate MCD.

....I pulled in there two days later and had the freshest fake nuggets ever.  Ugh I give up. 

....Men who leave their wives and then try to spin it like they were forced to should be hired by MCD.  My bestie J will smile at that one.

....Kevin Spacey is a fantastic actor; creepy but fantastic.

.....I will never drink another libation with a buffalo on it.  It trampled me.  (Keep it to yourself Judah)

.....I am very excited to have a paint brush in my hand this weekend.  More excited I'll be with my college bestie but ya know that paintbrush is just an added perk.

.....You should go purchase Joey's book Yeah, Maybe for $1.99 before it jumps back to $7.99

.....I rocked that Pinterest, nearly fail, dessert I made last weekend!  (It was on the IG account)

.....I miss the beach. Maybe its all this winter weather but I really miss it.

.....I feel bad for all those negative people comments about MCD up there.  Ugh always happens.

.....I think I am a Carolina girl....Carolina, Puerto Rico that is.  When it was all nasty out and snowing on Tuesday morning I found that beautiful municipality and thought, yes that is my Carolina.
