Around the Home (Big News Inside)

I have some goals this week...weather permitting on some and others are basically just me getting to work on some stuff (enough with the procrastinating).  This week is going to be a little off from other weeks.  I'll divulge more of that later!

My goals:

Outside

I'm sick of the mud pit.  Seriously, I think I have the yard that makes the teenage boys in jacked up, mud tire clad trucks go bonkers.  They see my yard and they think..."oh man if I had five minutes there the damage I could do" ---- keep it in drive boys, ain't nobody got time for that.

I know I cannot make the grass magically appear (unless you have a friend in sod or turf who is dying to give someone a free treatment...) but I can get the crap out of the yard (junk and fallen pieces of nature) so that a skid-steer can come in and do some work.

Also, if you work for Energy United please be aware.....I'm calling.

That is on the agenda.

that should work, right?

It may sound a little {insane} to mention this considering I have no grass but....we are going to lay off a flower bed.  I need something pretty, people.

Inside

<sigh>

Paintbrushes....I need to go buy more paintbrushes and paint.  Trim work needs to be completed.

Tile....I need to have someone cut some tile pieces so we can patch up what was undone due to a new heating system.  Speaking of tile (I'm holding my tongue here) if you know a great tile person and not some total slack tail/doesn't know what they are doing/trying to pose as a jack of all trades but master of none....I need their number...in a few years.

Divulging

You may be thinking, wow she's going to do a lot this week.  How can she do that?

Well....

My news that I have kind of teased you with for two weeks in my Thursday posts is that....

I'm so proud of my hubby!

He got a new job.  He wasn't looking for it, he was fine where he was, but opportunity showed itself at a very random time and BOOM we're making adjustments and he's moving to greener pastures.

I am so excited for him.  It just makes this wifey very proud.  So while I have him with me we are going to knock out some things for our house.

It is a win for you guys too....more updates on the blog as far as the house goes!  I know you guys love that.  I do too!

Switching gears...

Have you entered the Calahaln Cream giveaway?  You should!  Time runs out on later this week!

Five on Friday Oh Yeah!

Already Friday!  Yay that means its time for my five!

1.  Toddling Around!

My widdle baby boy (say that in your best baby talk voice) is growing up!  He is officially walking!  Oh yes, we have a man on the move in our house.  I just adore watching babies learn to walk.  To be honest they look like little drunks and it cracks me up.

Since he's walking we got him some shoes!  I am a Stride Rite mama but Target has some sweet little tootsie shoes that I cannot resist.

2.  A Tuesday Helper!

Would you believe my Diva helped me clean bathrooms and clean her room with absolutely NO COMPLAINTS!?!?!  She was so much fun to work with.  She scrubbed those toilets and wiped those vanities like a champ.  It was a lot of fun having my sweet girl help me out.

3.  New Job!

Yes, its true!  I took a job outside the SAHM realm.  I'll be working part time at a local private preschool and I am beyond thrilled for this experience.  After a lot of prayer and thought everything fell into place and I must say we are all excited for the upcoming school year in this casa!

4.  Smells of Fall!

I'm a summer girl but after all the posts on Christmas in July I had to fire up my potpourri pot of cinnamon and apples.  That smell just cannot be beat.  It is so welcoming and cozy.

5.  My Dearly Beloved!

I have the best husband.  I know I don't blog about it but I do you guys.  He is so loving and caring and a great father and fabulous husband.  We are in such an awesome place in our marriage and that means more than anything to me.  We've had some heart to hearts about everything we've went through in the past and what we can only hope the future holds but our present is beyond great.  Everyone deserves a marriage like that.
