H54F: Spring Break 2016!

All linked up over at KT Cup of Tea Blog!

I miss the link up when I don't have to a chance to truly link up and you should know that!

How are you?  How was your week? And then one before that?

Did you have a nice Easter?

Glad we're all caught up here's the five from over here...

This week was spring break for my babies and here's some of our fun celebrating a week off and warmer weather!

We had some awesome weather!  The scooters came out for some riding time.

We made a cookie pie - very very good!

My little guy said - "Look mommy!  I got a sun tan!"
Bahahahahaha!

Around here - this is typical!

It is always fun to see friends over a break!  Especially when they live so close!

My "time out" :)

While in Target he runs to this set up and says, "CHEEEEEESE!"
Then he said we needed one because it was so "comfy cozy" - Target, do ya hear this?

She was in swim camp all week and loved every single second of it!

A recap of our adult's only weekend in Savannah, GA!
I found this link up from checking out one of my favorite blogs!  So glad I joined in this week.
A peek into what I've been into this month.

H54F #2

Image result for high five for friday link up

We are a week into this whole 2016 thing!  I hope you are having a great start to the new year.  Here's my five for the week.  Thanks for dropping in!

Mama went shopping and got three new work out items (Kohls)  Loving that bra!  I also adore some fitted yoga pants, I cannot stand the loose ones, yucko!

1.  Psssst - School started back on Monday!  I freakin' love when my kids go to school; especially after a two week break.  The one thing I did not like was getting up at 6:43.  I used to be such an early bird, now not so much.  To celebrate the kids going to get their learn on I went shopping.  I had to return an adorable sports bra thing that was too big and in it's place I got an awesome new one, those pants, and that shirt.  I'm so excited about it.  I also had to hit up Starbucks and use some of a giftcard...I tell you nothing can change your mood quite like a skinny caramel macchiato. #starbuckswin #kohlswin #gettingupearlynotawin

Bought this last summer at Walmart for $2.  I kinda go crazy with notebooks.

2.  I journal.  Food journal that is.  I actually am using that notebook (so cute, right?) for everything.  I put my food log in it, daily to do's, and other little this and that's.  The best part is the notebook was like $2.  #weirdhoarding101

Pom from Old Navy! Thanks, Santa.  Now um that mouth, what? Yeah, no makeup, baaaaad girl!

3.  Me, all week, in a pom and don't even care.  Wait a second what the crap do I do with my mouth now when I take a selfie.  That isn't duck but what the hell is it?  #cannotstopstaring #houstonwehaveaproblem

Let's be IG friends (this pic is from my IG) @abrownieworld

4.  Come join me on Fitbit.  Click here to connect.  We need motivation!!!  #movemovemovesoyoucaneateateat

5.  I may have had a slight myocardial infarction on Wednesday when I could not find my Costas.  This girl has bad eyes and I must have my good sunglasses when the sun is shining brightly.  I searched high and low for those babies all over our home.  Of course my husband finds them...in our closet...on top of his sneakers.  Um??? #momprobs

And my one extra....

What the h-e-double hockey sticks and I doing with my mouth?!?!?!
6.  Pimples - It is hormonal but the week after Christmas I broke out like a 14 year old.  One New Year's Day I purchased some good old Neutrogena Acne Wash and cleansed my skin (four times over two days).  Well folks it isn't made for this girl's skin anymore because not only did it dry my skin out totally it also gave me a great chemical peel look!!!  Yes, I was inflamed for a few days and then I became a crusty, dried out, horrible looking mess!  Olive oil for the win along with straight zinc - I used it to rehydrate my skin.  I hope this culled the acne for a while!  #diychemicalpeeldonot

Have a great weekend!  Recap tomorrow. Come over to my Facebook Page and like it if you will!

The first {Friday 5} of the SUMMER!

Hello weekend!

I realize that scientifically this isn’t the start of summer but in the “real world” it totally is!

Here are my five for this start of summer!

Wow!  Look at how much my little girl has grown between August 24th , 2014 and June 11th, 2015!

I think it is amazing how I go through the year not noticing the changes and then boom! On the last day of school as I make the collage it is all up in my face.  My girl sure is growing and changing.  I’m so proud of her accomplishments.

Ahhhh we have spent nearly every day this month by the pool and or in the pool.

I really think that if I moved somewhere that I could be in or by the water 24/7/365 I would be in complete bliss!

My husband is such a goober in this picture.  Yes, he has 0% body fat.

Last weekend we had a spur of the moment camping trip.

It was great!  (Even for a girl who has to meticulously plan everything out.)  We ended up going to a nice little campground in Denver, North Carolina and really enjoying ourselves.  A weekend with no television or laundry is a good weekend indeed.  Oh and my little angler girl, yeah she caught the first fish of the weekend! That a girl!

This was a nice surprise at Awards Day.

I’m very appreciative.  Oh yeah baby, you know what that is!  I cannot wait to use it on a day when I need a mama escape this summer.

And last...

We started a new schedule this week.

I don’t want to go into too much detail but it changed up our regular family routine.  We’re all good, no worries.  So far, so good.  I’m thankful for all the blessings God has rained down on us over the past 9 months.

Happy weekending!

Thankful: November 2nd

Yesterday was a person today is a thing.

So many people love some Starbucks.  I'm a fan but not a fanatic.  So when I go to Starbucks I enjoy a White Chocolate Mocha....

Today would be a good day for that!

Its nice being able to just go grab something warm to drink on a cold day.  That's an extra in life not a necessity.  Remember all we need is water.  Somewhere along the lines we forgot the word need and became creatures that want.

I am stretching today's thankful blessing out.

I am thankful that if I really badly wish to have a white chocolate mocha I can hop in a car and go grab one.  In that one sentence are so many blessings --- a car, gas, nothing stopping me, the ability to pay, the ability to enjoy.

So see...what you thought was a stupid thankful for some kind of coffee turns into more.

What are you thankful for today?  Share it in the comments section or on the A Brownie World Facebook page.

3 Things Tuesday (3TT)

Ahhh the first 3 Things Tuesday of '14.  If you're new this is the post where I randomly spew out three things on my mind.  It could be song lyrics, the wind direction, or the scent of my last burp...who knows!

Today's 3

1.  Downton Abbey

I cannot say I am a fan.  Here's my defense:  I never catch the show...it is always the first ten minutes and then I have to tend to one of the children or it is the last two minutes and I am completely lost.  I'd love to actually sit down and watch it from season one but um...I'm not buying a box set (do they even have one?)  So if anyone has one to loan out I'm right here.

By the way if you have been wanting to catch it too it started back on January 5th.  Welcome to the late club.  Glad to have you.

2.  Starbucks

I've always been a loyal Dunkin girl (cheaper, good flavor) but lately I've been more of a 'bucks girl.  Am I becoming a snotty, yuppy bitch?  Perhaps....but no, I haven't purchased a Volvo. I just find that occasionally I can treat myself to a different coffee.

Considering it is cold as balls here in North Carolina (where did that term come from...cold as balls...really, anyone?)  I'll just have to have some extra Holiday Edition Starbucks in the ole potty pot...oh potty pot and cold as balls...total errors all around.

3.  Giving up technology

It is about time to take a break from the FB, Twitter, and all that junk.  I haven't had an unplugged weekend in close to a year and I think I need one. I'm taking on taking Sundays off from the computer/phone/etc. What about you?
It is like an Amish revolution up in this piece.
