I Stole An Idea....Meet Kimberly!

You know one of my closer blog friends is Emily over at Simply A Rough Draft.  In July she started introducing us to her blogger friends and I loved the idea so much I wanted to do it myself.  Also, I wanted to pay it forward!  Andrea at Living on Cloud Nine and Emily had both featured me so why not feature some of my favorites too.

For my first post I knew I had to send some questions over to Kimberly at Life As I Know It.  Kimberly and I have been blog buddies for almost two years now!  I think she picked up reading my blog here and there after my whole home fiasco happened 2014.

I really love Kimberly's posts and I seriously think if we were neighbors we would hit it right off!  Of course she would have to move South a few hundred miles first because this girl cannot do those New York winters!

Without further adieu please meet my friend Kimberly!

How long have you been blogging?
A little over 2 years...wow, can't believe it's been that long!

Why did you decide to start a blog?
A few reasons...
1. I loved reading other people's blogs and I thought, "Hey, I could do this!"
2.  I always enjoyed writing and thought this would be a good way to get my creative juices flowing again.
3.  I wanted to have a record of our adventures as a family.

How did you decide on the name of your blog?
Well, The Trophy Wife was already taken so I had to go with choice B.  Just kidding... I went with Life as I know it because my blog is literally life, as I know it.

What is your favorite post?
I don't think I have a specific favorite post, but my favorite posts in general are my Friday Favorites posts.  I love sharing my favorites of the week and linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci.

What is your most prized possession and why?
A purple and white Afghan my Grandmother made me.  I've had it since elementary school.  There are a few holes in it, and it's not quite as perfect as it once was.  But it has literally gone everywhere with me...sleepovers, college, new apartments, new houses.  Every time I'm sick, or sad, or just missing my Gram (she passed 12 years ago), I snuggle up under that blanket and it feels like a big warm hug from her.
...
If I were to visit you on a Saturday what all would we get into in your city/town?
Well, first we would hit Dunkin Donuts for some much needed coffee.  Then we would head to the soccer fields for my 6 year old's soccer game.  Since it's fall (almost) we could hit up the apple orchard and go apple picking.  Of course we would grab some cider and apple cider donuts on the way out!  Then off to my favorite day spa for massages, perhaps a nice nap, followed by dinner and margaritas at Ponchos, my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Knowing your a boy mom - if you could be any super hero for a day who would it be and why?
Is there a super hero that cleans, cooks and handles all the children's requests and questions??  If not, I suppose I will go with Wonder Woman because coming, that chick is the whole package!

What is your favorite hobby?
Trying new recipes, reading, going to baseball games, coaching my son's soccer team.  But my favorite hobby is dreaming of all the awesome hobbies I will have when I again have free time.  :)

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?  Or where is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Ogunquit,  Maine.  But if I could go anywhere in the world, it would hands down be Alaska!  I want to go all over Alaska...from cities like Anchorage and Fairbanks to the smallest little remote arctic villages. Nome, Unalaska, Talkeetna, Barrow, Two Rivers, Kivalina (before it's swallowed by the sea), and Bethel are all on my list of must-see places.  And yes, I really do have a list!  I would probably need a good 6 months there to see everything I want to see.

Now that you have been formally introduced it is time you visit Kimberly! Also be sure to check her out on Instagram (518nymammaof2) and Facebook!

Thanks for reading!  And Emily...thanks for sparking this!
