Prayer Challenge: This Day
One of the hymns I remember knowing the longest is one you may know too...
Here it is in in it's entirety:
1. This is the day, this is the day
that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made;
we will rejoice, we will rejoice
and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made.
2. This is the day, this is the day
when he rose again, when he rose again;
we will rejoice, we will rejoice
and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day when he rose again;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day when he rose again.
3. This is the day, this is the day
when the Spirit came, when the Spirit came;
we will rejoice, we will rejoice
and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day when the Spirit came;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day when the Spirit came.
I ask you today to set your prayer on the words and meaning of this song. Every day we live is a gift. The days when we are at the rock bottom, the days where we are indifferent, and the days where we are so excited that we cannot stand ourselves....all true and wonderful gifts.
I don't know where you are today but I hope this song and the prayer you find in your own heart will find you rejoicing and being glad in it.
